The Heartbeat of Our Ministry: A Love Letter to the Volunteers of Matthew’s Hope

Dear Volunteers,

Every week, a beautiful transformation happens within the walls of Matthews Hope Ministries. It does not begin with logistics, budgets, or strategic planning. It begins the moment our volunteers walk through the door. To be completely honest, we simply could not do this work without you. You are, quite literally, the heartbeat of our ministry. Seeing your familiar, smiling faces arrive each week brings an overwhelming sense of joy and relief to my heart.

You Are a Gift Beyond Measure

In the world of non-profit work, we often talk about resources. Do we have enough food and clothing in the pantry? How are we doing with medical supplies? And of course, donations. Do we have the capital we need to support our operations. But the most valuable resource will always be human kindness. When you generously give us your time, you do so much more than fill a shift. You lift a heavy financial burden off our shoulders. Because you choose to show up, we can stretch our funding further. Your presence means we can redirect critical resources directly into the hands of the people who need them most, our homeless guests. You are the hands and feet of this ministry. Because of your dedication, our community experiences tangible love, hope, and dignity every single day.

Incredibly Blessed

We look around at what Matthews Hope has become, and we know it reflects your regular sacrifices. We are so incredibly blessed to have you standing by our side, sharing our mission, and loving this community. To every single beautiful, compassionate, person who serves with us: thank you. We appreciate you more than words can say.

With Love,

Shelley Bradford
